Reading is sexy!

I saw that awkward ad played at the Super Bowl that wants to picture "sexy" and "smart" as two totally opposite entities.
I'm not going to debate about the message behind this ad, because it's just a publicity stunt nothing more, however it is possible to be smart and sexy and it's all in our hands!

I don't have a TVat my house and I don't plan to get one in the near future. I discovered that the wasted time can be filled with reading a book, online newspapers, wikipedia and anything other activity other than being fed "cheap entertainment".

I remembered that Ulyana Sergenko - which I admire so much for her femininity, creativity and elegance - showed up with a book as an accessory and instantly I was thinking: "What a great example for the young girls generations! Giving up your precious handbag and having a children's book in your hand! Great done, Ulyana!"

Well, in case you didn't know, Ulyana is a russian designer and she usually gets sponsored clothes. She wears them at fashions shows, because the street style bloggers will definitely follow her around and her picture will reach the fashion consumers.
This particular picture is not an exception, because the "book" you are seeing in her arms is actually a minaudière made by Olympia Le-Tan and costs around $1500. So, no special subliminal message sent here! :)

If you are interested in owning a similar item, but don't have the money available (I can relate to that!), you can make one yourself if you want - DIY Tutorial!

Still, although fashion is important for our self-esteem, I recommend to actually use books for their purpose and go the library and read books! It will make you a better person, it will give you a purpose, improve your spelling and develop your vocabulary!

Currently on my night stand is the Uglies series, of course interior design books and some geeky programming books!

And if we really want to stay in the fashion world, you can try these:

Am uitat sa spun despre cartile in format electronic!! Bravo pentru investitie mi se pare super!
